WOMAN

Wretched woman
Her clothes all match why
Sway suede skirt now blue now brown
Upon which blue brown sweaters lie
The jewels sprawl cross her neck, triplets
To those dripping from aged ears
Cheap orbs to replace uncried tears
Glasses glinting through the years
From eternal frames
As is the metallic headdress
And visage of wax
Loom over sunken throat cavity
And click of heavy heels
now blue now brown
Echo down the hall with gravity
Papers clutched in white shrivels of fingers
Nail polish over yellow lingers
Over passports
Wretched woman
Certificates demanding comfort
That cannot be found in blue in brown
Certificates demanding answers
Certificates receiving silence
