The words right on the tip of the tongue
Of the man turned dumb
But not blind or deaf
Surrounded by a wreath
Of missed opportunity
Surely he can see
Surely he can hear
The life that could be his
The sea crashing against the shore
The house for two and one more
But still in agony, the words
Do not come
But without epiphany, the words
Are still dammed
And the future with her steps walked away
The sun set on tomorrow
Never to rise again
